Barça Set to Play First Game at Renovated Camp Nou on Saturday
Barça revealed they will play at the still-under-construction Camp Nou on Saturday. The club will host the Basque side in domestic competition two and a half years since relocating for construction to commence.
“Returning home was our dream. Finally, it’s happening. We are back at Spotify Camp Nou.”
Not all seats will be available though over 45,000 attendees are permitted inside under the licence granted. After final construction, the stadium’s capacity will reach almost 105,000 spectators, increasing from the former 99,000. The club said finished work included an updated entryway for the team and new dressing rooms.
Recent Activities
Barcelona held a public practice on the home pitch on 7 November. They mentioned they were hoping for permission by UEFA to host the next European match against Eintracht Frankfurt on 9 December at Camp Nou. Their recent games have been held in the temporary ground.
