British Airways is introducing free quick onboard wifi via Starlink agreement

Flyers on British Airways will soon enjoy high-speed internet onboard without charge after a recent partnership with Elon Musk's space provider.

The airline revealed that the complimentary, “fast and dependable” connectivity service via the satellite provider is set to be available for travelers in economy, business, or first class as of soon.

The holding organization of the airline, IAG, announced it had secured an agreement with Starlink to provide wifi access for 500-plus planes operated by its operators, such as Aer Lingus, Iberia, and Vueling.

British Airways explained that the introduction for the system was part of a seven billion pound “modernization” initiative that will provide uninterrupted internet access to flyers starting at the gate to arrival, even when in flight over large bodies of water or remote regions.
