Warrick Stock, who went by the name DJ Warras, was attacked in the central business district on the afternoon of Tuesday.

Authorities reported the forty-year-old presenter was confronted by three suspects, with one shot at him before fleeing on foot.

The reason of the shooting has not been established and no arrests are in custody, as per the official statement.

How It Happened

Police revealed that Stock was targeted as he was leaving a building in the vicinity of the city center landmark.

He had devoted time at the site supervising the installation of safety equipment, which had been reportedly taken over by unidentified individuals, it was reported.

"The report indicates the man was confronted by three unknown suspects after parking his vehicle, and they shot at him before escaping on foot," authorities confirmed.

Surveillance tape reportedly captured a man with dreadlocked hair and dressed in what resembled a guard's attire shooting on Stock before making his escape.

The DJ sought to escape after he was hit but fell down across the street.

Officials noted that Stock had an unused firearm and nothing was taken during the assault.

Police have appealed anyone who saw the event who may have seen the suspects to come forward.

"We know they traveled on foot after the shooting, and police have been tracking them to determine their location," added an official.
