Thomas Tuchel Expresses Disappointment Over Home Crowd Support Following Dominant Wales Victory.

The England head coach expressed his sadness that the England team did not get more backing from the home spectators during their decisive triumph over Wales on Thursday night.

Tuchel was happy to see his team maintain their winning momentum, with goals from Morgan Rogers, Ollie Watkins, and Saka inside the opening quarter deciding the contest. However, he was displeased with the energy at the national stadium.

“With one and a half sessions to prepare against a drilled team and we performed excellently,” the coach commented. “We could have been five goals ahead at the break. We couldn’t score the fourth and fifth ones. The stadium was silent. There was no any energy back from the crowd. Our team gave their all to win.”

“How much more can you give in the first quarter? We didn’t let them escape. When you only hear just Wales fans for 30 minutes, it’s disappointing because the team earned better encouragement today.”

“I stand by my words. There’s nothing more than leading 3-0 in a rivalry match. I would have wished for a little more support in moments where it is challenging.”

“In the second half, to cheer us on, there was a bit too much backing for the opposition. It might have aided us to regain energy, but it is what it is and that is it.”

Squad Decisions Vindicated by Display

Apart from potentially starting a fight with fans, the manager also raised eyebrows by leaving out Jude Bellingham and Phil Foden from his team selection. However the move was justified by Rogers delivering another standout performance in the No 10 position and getting his maiden goal for his country.

“He is what he is,” the head coach said. “He is a No 10 and he is vying for his place.”

Bellamy Seeks Improvement from Defeat

The Wales manager expressed hope that Wales, who host Belgium in a crucial qualifying match on next week, take lessons from their poor first-half display.

“That’s the reason I scheduled this match,” the manager stated. “I need to see where we are. What are our ambitions? Who do we want to be? Today fills me with drive.”

Injury Concern for Striker

Watkins was taken off at half-time after clattering into a post and may miss out when the national team face Latvia in the Latvian capital in a World Cup qualifying match on next week.
